What Happens when You Leave Your Garden Unattended for 3 Weeks

July 13, 2015 - No Comments - 1 min read

OUR GARDEN TURNED INTO A MEADOW!

I was expecting to return home to long grass, but this was beyond long, this was totally insane! I never knew grass could grow so manically long in such a short period of time. I even mowed the lawn on the shortest setting the day before we left! Of course someone around here was enjoying the new long grass…

On average I mow the lawn 2-3 times a week, which Grant keeps telling me is far too much, but this gloriously overgrown mess now assures me that our grass really does need mowing that often!

BLOOMING CRAZY

Elsewhere in the garden, this rose tree has gone crazy blooming! I actually thought we were going to miss the bloom whilst we were away, so I was pretty glad to return to such pink awesomeness! The spikey plant also took some growing in three weeks and bloomed out of no-where! Last year this didn’t happen until late September, and we only got one flowering stem – this year we have three!

It’s crazy to see just how fast life grows within such a short space of time, and also kind of beautiful.

But now, back to short grass, ha!
