My Country Style #HomeLifeDreamHome

June 12, 2015 - No Comments - 2 min read
This is my entry into the HomeLifeDreamHome competition with HomeLifeDirect. A bit of a different post from my usual DIY posts, but I thought the idea sounded quite fun and different.
So, the idea is that you pick items from around their online store that you would want in your dream home. Our home is currently a renovation mess, a storage unit, and a doggy playground – so  ask me to dream away! I really love wooden furniture, both painted and unpainted – Deep reds, greys, and a rustic cosy country kind of style decor. Here’s my fave picks:
1. Cushions (left) (right)
HomeLife have an awesome selection of cushions, but these two are by far my favourite! I think the red and grey combination work really well together and the patterns are classic yet quaint.
I love this corner bookcase. I’d probably use to it show off decorative accessories rather than books. And the little drawers are perfect for stuffing random charging cables and bits and bobs out of sight!
I absolutely love wingback chairs, and this tartan fabric one just makes me want to snuggle up on it next to a roaring fire!
I’d probably use the little foot stool to keep magazines on, or use as a window seat against a window rather than a foot stool. It looks too comfy to be just for my feet!
I would use this sideboard to house all our gaming discs, DVDs, and general electronics that we wouldn’t want on show. Maybe also our rather large selection of board games!
This console table would be perfect in our hallway as a feature focus point upon entering. Mind you, I’d have to be careful not to leave it overloaded with junk mail!

What would you want in your dream home?
