About

Girl Behind the Blog

Hi! I'm Kezz - otherwise known as Kezzabeth, or just Kerry (yep that's my real name!). Kezzabeth was a kind of nickname during my school years and I just stuck with it... Mainly because it's a username that's never taken and yep - that is why this blog is called Kezzabeth (I basically couldn't think of anything better!). I'm a 20-something year old girl living with my DIY partner in crime Grant (you'll see him a fair bit on the blog!) and our two little spaniels Todd and Doug.

We purchased our first home in 2011, discovering the only way we could ever afford to get onto the property ladder would be to buy a renovation project and make it our own, DIY style. So we did just that. Three years later we sold that teeny tiny house and found ourselves buying yet another renovation project, which is the house I now share on here, the blog.

This blog was started as my little place on the web to share our personal renovation journey, having regretted not taking enough photos of our first one! We're working class folk, renovating on a budget and doing the work ourselves because, well it's cheaper. We're not professionals or experts in DIY, we're just learning as we go and it turns out, we're not that bad at it. We're believers that anyone can learn to DIY and you don't necessarily need to pay someone to improve your home. This blog shares budget interior ideas, DIY tutorials and how to DIY renovate. Basically, we've made the DIY mistakes so you don't have to. ;)

If you fancy sticking along for the read, hit subscribe, follow me on bloglovin', or just pop back every now and then :)
