3 Summer Interior Trends to Fall in Love with!

I was asked by Kent Blaxill to come up with three inspiring mood boards for interior colour trends this summer. And if there's anything I love doing - it's definitely looking at interior trends! If you haven't heard of Kent Blaxill, they offer a wide range of decorating supplies, including tools, wallpaper and an extensive selection of paint including Crown Trade paint.

These three trends are my favourite for this Spring/Summer season...

1. Metallics V Pastels
Colours by Crown: Gentle, Tudor Rose, Brandy Snap
Rose-gold jewellery is currently all the rage - but why stop there? The combination of copper and  pastel rose in a room is simply elegant and adds that much needed touch of luxury! I think this combination works so well in a study space. It's calming, non-distracting and you can even add a fun bold floral statement wall print for a bit of contrast. I love this one! Notonthehighstreet.com and John Lewis have some of the best copper accessories too!

2. All Natural / Botanical
Colours by Crown: Mellow Sage, Tuscan Olive, Summer Season
There's something about summer that just makes you want to bring the outside in! Where you're lacking that giant window overlooking the beautiful garden, bring the outdoors in with all kinds of  different materials that create a natural outdoors-y feel. Greens and yellows are perfect colours for this scheme, paired with wildlife/tree inspired wallpapers. eBay in particular is a great place to search for driftwood furniture.

3. Monochrome and Bright Colours
Colours by Crown: Soft Steel, New York, Tibetan Gold
Monochrome is simply timeless, which I think makes this a perfect mix for the bedroom. Adding some pops of colour stops this scheme from looking too plain, and I personally love deep blues and yellows in this scheme! It's fresh, original and fun.

What's your favourite colour trend?
