August faves

I guess it's farewell summer, hello autumn. I like the changing seasons, but nothing beats the joy of a warm sunny day. There's also only a few paydays left until Christmas (holy moly) which means my Christmas shopping has already began. Why oh why? In fairness I hate leaving things until the last minute, so I'm doing myself a favour right now and reducing the oncoming Christmas-gift stress. Kudos to me. Here are some of my faves from August/the last of summer.

Random
I'm going to start with a random this time.. and this month it's the Internet! Yep, the internet. We waited 6 weeks from the day we moved to get it up and running and boy was I going crazy without it. We used a pay-as-you-go dongle type thing which was pretty good.. but who knew you used so much data every day? I had to ration my usage so not to bankrupt myself. Thank the lord our unlimited internet has returned! I've missed you, web.

Place
Newark Antiques and Collectors Fair. This was so much fun I literally cannot wait for the next one. Not going to rant on too much about this, but check out this post for more info.

Purchase
This is a pretty recent purchase but I've been searching for something like this for soo long that I knew I loved it instantly. When I worked at TK Maxx over Christmas last year I spotted a glass bowl just like this and knew it would be perfect for make-up storage. Of course when it came to my break and I went to purchase the bowl, it was gone. I kept my eye out after that, but nothing as good appeared. Until now! And here it is, at the bargain price of £10. It's slightly different to last years equivalent, but I still love it.

Food
I love food. This month's a milkshake. A peanut butter milkshake to be more specific.. Made at the OK Diner. These are simply AMAZING. I've never had a milkshake that has come anywhere near as close to how amazing they are. They are quite pricey but you get two servings of milkshake (yep, two!). They bring you an extra canister to top up your milkshake when you're done. Brill. I could seriously get fat on these. Well worth a try! I forgot to take a picture.. so this isn't quite it, but still looks yummy right?
