Grants DIY firsts

Before leaving Grant's parents home where we've been living for the last month, I thought it was only fair I took the time to share Grants DIY firsts from his youth living in this house. So what do I mean? Well, we all have our first-time DIY ventures.. For me it was using a shovel to remove some skirting board so a stand-alone shelving unit fitted in an alcove. Needless to say, I didn't realise the bugger would be screwed into the wall. At 14, I thought everything was built by glue. How wrong was I.

But for Grant, his DIY firsts were fitting doors. Quite an advanced task for a first-time DIYer, but hey-ho he gave it a go. Well, ten years on and his work still stands in use within his parents household. Maybe because he did such a good job? Or they just stuck with it? Either case, here's some of his marvellous work....

There's something not quite square about this door.

...Or this door.

Straight lines are so last year..

Apparently all 14 year olds think everything is built by glue!

Good job he's progressed since then - although I do feel sorry for those poor doors!
